Adjust Cylinder / Drilling Axis
This tool allows you to change the length, diameter and position of the Screw Access Hole relative to Abutments & Bars.
NOTE: The Drilling Axis and it's set values control the starting and stopping points for drilling operations.
It is recommended to check to ensure that your drilling axis starts above the screw channel and proceeds straight down through your bore hole. If this cylinder is too short, the tool may not clear the bore hole, leaving behind material (blind hole). If your implant has a rest-seat, the cylinder curve should bottom out at the flat surface. There may be additional curves that are smaller and typically proceed down and through the screw channel.
Changing Bore from Smooth to Threaded
You can now change your bore type from Smooth to Threaded. The curve will change from GREEN to PINK
- This is useful when you have a threading tool and need to designate the specific axis for threading. In our example video above, we highlight the functionality of the tool on an abutment, but you may typically thread out bores on implant bars as shown here:
