Edit Abutment Emergence Area

All Abutments and Hybrid Abutments have an Emergence Profile. The Emergence Profile is the surface of a designed abutment which touches and follows the contour of the existing soft tissue. This emergence curve or finish line is detected automatically by MillBox and a blue line is projected onto the abutment. 

Any surface detected to be in the Emergence Profile between the interface and the curve will be colored green. This information is vital to the CAM to ensure the finishing operations are able to discern this area from the rest of the part - as it will typically be machined differently.

If your part does not import with this line already present, you can use this tool to automatically detect it or to manually designate this area.
