This button allows you access to manually edit / manage your partially milled material / reusable stock:
NOTE Any changes you make to the stock file must be manually Saved or automatically saved when the Job with the imported material is calculated.
Below you can find descriptions for each function:
Remove Milled Pockets
This button allows the user to select previously used disc portions and remove them from the used material.
Manually Save Stock File
This function lets you save an imported disc as a partially used stock file, along with any parts nested within the current job.
If you are overwriting a partially used stock file that was imported into your job, the CAM will prompt you to overwrite it as long as you do not rename it when the file name prompt appears.
The default save location for partially used files can be found under: C:\Users<Your User Name Here>\Millbox Reusable Blocks
NOTE: The stock or partially used material is saved automatically at the end of the calculation process when preparing to send a job to the mill.
Manually Import Stock File
This button allows the user to manually search for a partially used stock file to import - this can be useful when migrating / updating old SUM3D block files or bringing an old stock library from another CAM via pictures / preview images (see video below):
Supported file formats:
.BLK (SUM3D File / MillBox)
.BLOCK (SUM3D File)
.BMP (Bitmap - Image File)
IMPORTING FROM A PICTURE
You can import partially used stock from other CAM systems by taking top-down photos (photos) or screenshots of the stock and missing pockets and importing them as the stock as a.BMP (Bitmap) Image file type. Make sure to crop the image and photograph your material in front of a contrasting color, such as black and white. We suggest using the side of the disc that does not have labels or text printed on it so that the CAM only sees the pockets.
Rotate Stock Orientation
This button allows the user to rotate the stock relative to the fixture. This can be useful when the user has shifted or rotated the disc in the holder or on the machine and wants to reflect the same on the CAM:
Edit Stock
This button allows the user to modify the material type to be used for the stock file.
NOTE: Don't forget to double-check and verify that your material is set to the proper Shrinkage / Expansion rate. Failure to check these values will lead to poor fit on your final prosthetic.
