MillBox - Activating / Updating a Dongle

How to Activate or Update Your MillBox Dongle/License

What You Will Need:

• A MillBox Dongle:
  • A purple dongle with a yellow sticker. 
    The number on the sticker is the Dongle number.
    • 
• An Activation / Update File (.LKD)
  • This file created by CIMSystem will activate or update the dongle.
    • Numbers must match on the LKD file and the dongle.
      • 

Activating the Dongle:

Note: Do not rename the Activation/Update File (.LKD). It must follow the naming convention to activate the dongle.

• Connect the Dongle: Plug the dongle into the computer where MillBox is installed. Ensure the dongle's red LED light is on.
• Open MillBox File Location: Right-click the MillBox desktop shortcut and select "Open file location".

• Access Main Folder: Navigate back one folder to reach the main MillBox directory. (e.g., C:\MillBox_CIM)
• Add Activation File: Copy/paste or drag/drop the activation file into the main folder (e.g., C:\MillBox_CIM).
  • 
• Open MillBox. Your dongle should now be activated! (You will see your dongle number and licensed year on the support page)
  
  • NOTE:  Upon opening MillBox, the LKD file should disappear from your main MillBox folder as it's being applied to your dongle.

Confirming the Activation was successful

• To confirm the activation/update was successful, open MillBox, right-click the title bar, and select "Support".

• You should see your dongle number and the year it supports.
