MillBox: Backing up Job Files for Expedited Support

When reporting issues to CIMsystem support, providing the right backup files ensures faster and more efficient assistance. 

Follow these steps to generate and share your MillBox job files for support:


Step 1: Launch MillBox and Load Your Job

  • Open the MillBox on your system.
  • If the relevant job isn’t loaded, use the Job Management button to select and open the job.

Step 2: Access the Support Options

  • Once the job is open, right-click on the Title bar and select Support from the context menu.

      • Alternatively, click the Job Management button and choose Support.

        • This Support button is available for 2018 or later versions.

Tips:

  • The Title Bar is located at the top of the MillBox window.
  • The Job Management button can be found on the left-hand side of the software interface.

Step 3: Create Backup Files

  • In the Support window, locate the button labeled Create Backup Files for your Support Team.

  • Click the button to start generating the necessary files.

What Happens:

The system compiles essential data from your job into compressed files, ensuring all relevant information for troubleshooting is included.


Step 4: Locate the Backup Files

  • After collecting and compressing your files, a dialog box appears, indicating the location where the files were saved.

  • The location file folder will also open:
    • Two compressed files, typically in ZIP or WinRAR format, that will be created for support purposes.

Important Note:

Both files must be uploaded to CIMsystem support. Uploading both ensures the team has all the necessary data for efficient problem resolution.


Step 5: Upload and Send Backup Files

What to Upload:

  • Both compressed files created in Step 4.

How to Upload:

Who to Email:

  • For Americas (USA-based) support, send an email to: support.americas@cimsystem.com
    • Reference the ticket in your email for tracking purposes.
  • For International (Italy-based) support, send an email to: support@cimsystem.com
    • Attach the files to your email and include any additional details about the issue.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure the CIMsystem support team can assist you quickly and effectively, minimizing downtime and resolving your issue efficiently.
