How to Use Repair in FileHub
(Printability Check Function)

The Printability Check in FileHub is a robust tool designed to address common mesh issues with your STL files. 

This guide will walk you through the steps to utilize this essential feature.


Step 1: Accessing FileHub through MillBox

  • Select the STL you want to import on the Import Selection Screen
  • Click the Tesseract to open FileHub 

  • Once open; FileHub will already have the STL selected.
  • Click the “Printability check of selected object” Button: Once you’ve selected the file, click on the “Printability check of selected object” button.

This will open a dialogue box.


Step 2: Accessing the Printability Check through FileHub

  • Open FILEHUB: Launch the FILEHUB application on your device.
  • Select the File: Navigate to the file you want to check.
  • Click the Printability Check Button.

This will open a dialogue box. 


Step 3: Understanding the Dialogue Box

When you click the printability check button, a dialogue box will appear with one of the following messages:

“The mesh does not contain errors. Do you still want to perform a repair?”

“Errors have been found, proceed with repairs?”

You will have two options: Yes or No.


Step 4: Performing the Repair

Click Yes: If you choose to proceed with the repair, click the “Yes” button.

Click No: Will cancel the repair request

Repair Confirmation: After the repair attempt, another dialogue box will appear with the message:

“The Mesh has been repaired”

Click the “OK” button to complete the process.


Step 5: Completing the Repair

Once the repair is complete, you can return to MillBox and import the file.
